Hello and Happy Wednesday – not to mention Happy September! Don’t you just love the ‘Ber Months??? I hope your week is going well. I couldn’t miss the first casing from the newly launched September-December Catalog now could I, so I guess it’s better late than never. Here’s a look at my take:
I decided to use that gorgeous specialty DSP, Autumn Oppulence. It is stunning! And I can’t wait to scrap some layouts with it as there are two sheets of die cuts that include some really cute journaling die cuts. So I started with a Cajun Craze card base and then trimmed two of the sheets to the measurements for the first two layers and attached them with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I then chose one of the little frames from one of the die cut sheets. I stamped the gingham leaf from the Simply Leaves stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, stamping off first. I then added a Linen Thread bow with a Mini Glue Dot. I thought the die cut card got lost in the DSP, so I layered it on some Early Espresso cardstock and then Very Vanilla to brighten it up. I then attached it with more Seal. I trimmed another scrap of Very Vanilla to the measurements and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and added it to the front with dimensionals. I tried to add another die cut from the sheet to follow the sketch, but it just looked too cluttered; so I left it off. I added a couple of the 26/28 In Color Dots and called it done.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment, also in Early Espresso on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla and added the die cut leaf that I was going to add to the inside.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added a 1″ strip to the flap to tie it all together.
