Hello and happy Thursday! I hope you’ve been having a great week. If this is the first time stopping by my neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. I imagine you’ve already seen what we are casing (copy and share everthing) this week over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, but if not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 290
Isn’t that a cute card? I love it when non traditional colors are used for holiday themes, or in this case, a fall theme. I decided to change mine up a little bit using the Pretty Poinettia Bundle.

I love that we have sketches to help with all the measurements. I only used them on my card base and the DSP strip. I decided to use the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle this week for my card. I chose my DSP first, using a piece from the A Little Christmas DSP pack, and then chose my card base in Very Vanilla. I die cut my flower in Two-Tone Cherry Cobbler and the large leaves in Two-Tone Peaceful Pine. The flower center is cut in Golden Glow cardstock and then assembled the flower with Multipurpose Glue. I then stamped the small leaves and sprigs in Peaceful Pine ink on Basic White and die cut them. I then assembled all of the leaves to the flower with Mini Glue Dots. I attached the DSP to the card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and then realized that the flagged banner wouldn’t work with the large flower I just assembled. So, I decided to stamp my sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on the card base itself. Instead of the banner, I added a little piece of the Golden Glow ribbon. I added a little Seal to the back of the flower to attach the ribbon and then added plenty of dimensionals to the back and attached it to the card base. I then sprinkled on some of the new Adhesive-Backed Sparle Sequins for bling.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment and the flowers in Cherry Cobbler ink, stamping the flowers off first. I think it would have been better to add a strip of the beautiful DSP instead…next time. 😉

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I did add a 1″ strip to the flap to my envelope. I still have a few of the retired Very Vanilla envelopes, so that is what I used instead of the white ones.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on the this week’s sample or sketch and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. We would love to see your creations! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. Have a great rest of your week!
