Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 281

Isn’t that a cute card? Since I have my August Scrapbook Crop this weekend, I had to keep my card quick & easy. And what better way then to use one of our Ephemera Packs? Here is what I came up with:

It’s the last week of August, so what better theme than summer? And who doesn’t love a VW bus??? I chose the bus from the Under the Sun Mix & Match Ephemera Pack that I thought paired really well with the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP pack. AND! It’s made with all scraps!!! I thought the card looked best as a landscape style card since my sentiment was bigger than the sample. I used a Daffodil Delight card base and attached my pieces of DSP with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I used my Beach Time stamp set that is sadly no longer available. I stamped my sentiments in Pretty Peacock ink, added the bus with dimesnionals and then sprinkled on some of the coordinating Array of Dots embellishments. The die cuts in the ephemera pack are actually stickers, but since I was adding with dimensionals, I didn’t remove the backing. I just love the colors of all of this!! I should also note that I followed the measurements in the sketch, which really helps make creating super easy!

For the inside, I had a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White that I stamped the sentiment, again in Pretty Peacock and then added a strip of the DSP.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added another strip of the DSP to the flap.

So, what do you think? I think it turned out to be a fun card. Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample or sketch and then share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Page. The fun part of casing is you get to create it your way with your style. We would love to have you play along.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. Have a great week!
