wcmd-3Hey everyone! Time for sneak peek #3 for our World Card Making Day event. Isn’t this little scarecrow cute??? I love scarecrows because I think they are the perfect harvest icon! I actually cased this card from fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett.

When I sat down to create an exact version of her card, I realized I didn’t have the right Designer Series Paper, so I decided to create my own by using the pumpkin and sentiments stamp from the September Paper Pumpkin kit. I just love the two step pumpkin stamps. Then I added a strip of Old Olive card stock that I used the new Best Badge Punch to create the scallop. Who would have thought that you could use a badge shape to make a scallop? Well, someone did and it worked perfectly. The polka dot paper is actually created using one of the new Seasonal Masks and sponging Pumpkin Pie ink on the Pumpkin Pie card stock. So cute and super easy to do! I used a scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Framelits to cut a piece of the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. The scarecrow is from the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set and I used Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand and a blender pen to color him The heart patch is colored with a Real Red Stampin’ Marker and the straw is colored with a Crushed Curry marker. Then I added some Old Olive enamel dots from the Halloween Night Enamel Dot set.

So, for those that don’t know what Paper Pumpkin is, it’s a monthly craft kit subscription from Stampin’ Up! that comes each month, also know as happy mail for me! It can be treat packaging, like September’s kit, may be a card kit, or even home decor. Whatever the kit is, is includes everything you need to complete the project, in, stamp set, card stock, adhesive, and a step-by-step instruction sheet that makes it very easy to complete your kit. It’s great for a new crafter, a seasoned crafter short on time or just likes to get all things crafty, whichever you are, this kit is a perfect fit.
