Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 273
Isn’t that a pretty card? I love the colors! This week I decided to follow the sketch using the new Online Exclusives, Framed Violets.

I know that there are a lot of purple lovers out there and this take should make them happy!! I don’t normally like to cut my DSP to 4 1/4″ wide, but since I had already been playing with this gorgeous specialty DSP, I thought why not! I trimmed my layer and then sponged on some Gorgeous Grape ink and then added it to a Highland Heather card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I pulled out my Party Banner dies and die cut a scrap of Gorgeous Grape ink and inked the edges with more Gorgeous Grape ink. I then added it to the card with dimensionals. The Violet Dreams Specialty DSP has two sheets of die cuts that not only work with scrapbooking, but make cardmaking so easy!! I added my large die cut with dimensionals and then added the three flower die cuts over it with mini dimensionals to really give my card some depth. Then I added three of those really pretty Adhesive-Backed Blooms to the flowers. These embellishments are stunning in person. Not only are they adorable little flowers, but then they are topped off with little rhinestones. I absolutely LOVE them!! Next I trimmed a scrap of Basic White and stamped my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and added it with double dimensionals to fit over the flowers.

For the inside, I sponged a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White with more Gorgeous Grape ink. I stamped the same image as my die cut in Highland Heather ink, stamping off first, and then my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink. I love how this turned out!

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped that same image on the front, also in Highland Heather ink. Doesn’t it tie it all together?

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s card or sketch, and share it with us over at the CT Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or sketch or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make it your way with your style!
