Hey everyone! Just a quick sneak peek of the first project we’ll be making this Friday night at our September Hostess Club Workshop. I cased this from Beth Daniels, another demonstrator. I follow her blog and just fell in love with this card. I tweaked it just a tad by adding one of the Metallic Enamel Shapes on the frayed bow, and the die cut sentiment. This card really shows off the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It is stunning in person and is run a little different than a regular folder through the Big Shot. Because it is so thick, your “sandwich” is only the platform, folder (spine facing in), and top plate. I spritzed the cardstock with a little water to loosen the fibers in the cardstock and allow it to really form to the folder.
The frayed bow is made from a piece of the new Delightful Dijon ribbon from the Trio Pack. It’s created by snipping of the side of the ribbon and pulling out all the strands of the ribbon. Then you lay them on top of the piece you cut and tie it like a bundle. It can be a little tricky, but the effect is really cute.
The DSP used is from the new Warmth and Cheer 6 x 6 pad. I just love plaids, and that pad has several plaid prints in there. I stamped the leaves from the Vintage Leaves in Night of Navy on Delightful Dijon, then cut them out with the matching framelits. I also cut out a leaf and the hello from the Hello You Thinlets in Gold Foil paper. I would never have put these two colors together, but they work.
