Hey everyone! I’m back with a sneak peek for my Birthdays and BOGO event this weekend. Everyone gives gift cards to someone for birthdays, so why not put it in a cute holder? This is the same pattern that I used for my graduation gift card holder last month. Super easy and you can get 2 out of one sheet of cardstock. This one is using all new product.
The base is in one of the new In Colors, Tranquil Tide and using the new designer series paper Naturally Eclectic. This dsp is full of fun artsy/watercolor type patterns. The one I chose has Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pool Party in the colors. I love the cool tones with the pop of bright to the pattern. Very non-gender so it can be used for anyone. Here’s a look at the entire inside.
To make the card base you take a piece of 8 1/2 by 5 1/2″ piece of cardstock and score it at 3, 4 1/4, and 5 1/2″. Fold in half at the 4 1/4 score line and using the Classic Label punch, punch an opening for the gift card.Fold the two outside score lines up. Using some strong adhesive like Fast Fuse, glue down the under side on the edges so that it stays closed on the bottom. Here’s a look at what the middle looks like.
After you glue the bottom you can decorate as desired. I created a belly band with a 1 x 11″ strip of Pool Party. It doesn’t quite meet in the middle, but that’s ok, that’s why there’s the medallion, to cover it up! The stamp set I used is the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous set. Super cute set with a ton of little phrases and little images. It also coordinates with the Balloon Duet punch and the Classic Label punch which will make good little embellishments and sentiment panels.
This is going to be a fun one for the girls to create. Something a little different rather than a card. If you would like to purchase any of these items, just head over here to place your order. When you use Hostess Code 93HEHUC2, I’ll send a packet of handmade cards. When your order is $40.00 or more I’ll also include a free embellishment from the new catalog. So head over there now to shop til you drop!
Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another sneak peek.
