Hey everyone. Happy Monday. I hope this finds you well. As many know, we have been dealing with the Carr Fire here in the Redding area and it has just been devastating for so many. This last Saturday a group of my favorite ladies came out and we created 150 cards; a combination of thank you and thinking of you cards for some of those that were affected by this awful tragedy. I wanted to share those with you this morning.

And here we were creating these cards. We not only had a good time hanging out together, but it really was good therapy for each of us. I always feel good when I give one of my cards, but knowing that these were going to touch so many lives was just an incredible feeling!

Today I delivered those cards. On my way to our local law enforcement agencies, I came across a group of fire fighters at one of our Dutch Bros. coffee drive-throughs, so since I had donuts to deliver, you know I had to stop! And let me tell you, they were one happy group of guys!! And did they give the best hugs!! I couldn’t thank them enough for helping and they were actually excited about getting some of those thank you cards!

Look at those grins!!! lol After deliveries at our local police and sheriff’s offices, I headed down to our fair grounds where all of the fire fighters meet and have the command center. When I drove in these two were manning the gate. You would have thought they won the lotto when I handed them the last box of donuts!! Big hugs from them too!!!

I gave the rest of the thank yous to their Information Officer and he commented on how unbelievable our community has been to not only them, but to each other. He said that he was extremely grateful to us and said that these kinds of gestures are what makes their jobs worth it. My last run was a local high school where there was assistance for those that lost everything. They are still taking donations for school supplies for those that are in need.  If you are out of the area and would like to help, you can donate online here. 100% of the donations made here go directly to the disaster relief efforts for the Carr Fire.

I know I have said this before, but the decision I made 7 years ago to join the Stampin’ Up! family has forever changed my life. I have met more people then I could have ever imagined and each and everyone of them has been a blessing in my life. If you would like to become a member of our family, you can go here. It is one of those life-changing decisions that you will never regret. It really is more then stamps, ink, and paper! Have a great afternoon and be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday!
