‘n qne-1

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!! I’m getting projects ready for my Quick ‘n Easy Christmas Card Class this Saturday and I wanted to share a sneak peek of our first project.

I cased this card from fellow demonstrator Dawn Olchefske, but with some tweaks. I fell in love with this card the minute I saw it posted and knew I wanted to case it. For those that don’t know what “case” means, it means “copy and share everything”, meaning you can copy exactly as the original was created or you can change it up some like I did.

I just love the 2 tone colors of green on this and the Cherry Cobbler just pops off the card. The card base is in Emerald Green. I then took a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Mint Macaron and embossed it with the Holly Embossing Folder. The Cherry Cobbler mat is 2 3/4″ x 4″ and the Whisper White is 2 1/2″ by 3 3/4″. I attached a 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper  to the Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment from the Holly Berry  and added a piece of the Emerald Envy 3/8″ Silky Taffeta Ribbon that comes as a duo pack with Cherry Cobbler. I then stamped one of the bells from the Seasonal Bells set in Emerald Envy and heat set it with Clear Embossing Powder to make it shiny, then punched it out with the Bell Punch. (When you purchase these two items together as a bundle you will save 10%.) I then stamped the holly leaves in Emerald Envy on Emerald Envy card stock, and the berries in Cherry Cobbler on Cherry Cobbler using the stamp set Holly Berry Happiness and punched them out using the Holly Berry Builder Punch, then attached together with mini glue dots. (Another bundle that can be purchased for 10% off.)  I took a piece of the new Gold Baker’s Twine (it comes in a trio pack with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green) and wound it around two fingers and pinched the middle and then used a mini glue dot to attach to the top of the bell. I then added the holly leaves and berries. I attached a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the bell and attached it to the Whisper White. I then added some more dimensionals to the back of the Cherry Cobbler mat and attached it to the card.

I really like the way it turned out. You can create this too using the supplies that are listed. Just go to my online store here, and when you use Hostess Code E3HDGQDU, I will send you a pack of hand made cards. If your order is $50.00 or more, I’ll throw in a pack of Rhinestone Basic Jewels. You can always use more bling in your stash! And while you’re shopping for these supplies, don’t forget that the DSP we used on this is one of the sets that is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free special that runs through the end of the month. There’s only a few days left, so be sure to get yours now!

Thanks for stopping by, and please be sure to stop by tomorrow for another sneak peek.
