Happy Thursday! How’s your week going? Today we are playing with one of the new die sets that are available right now through September 30th, the Apple Blossoms Dies that coordinate with the new Apple Harvest stamp set from the July-December Mini Catalog. When the catalog launched, the stamp set was a stand alone and was one I didn’t even consider. Now, you can take advantage of bundle pricing to get it all for a discount. We all love saving money, especially these days. So, were you able to catch my Facebook Live today while I created today’s project? If not, you can watch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I would love it if you gave my video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t done so yet. When I reach 300 subscribers, I will be having a random give away, so now’s the time to subscribe!
Here are the measurements:
- Card base in Sweet Sorbet cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for inside
- Sweetest Christmas DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/2″ and 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ for inside
I have seen others use this piece of DSP with this bundle and thought it was the perfect touch, so why not? All of the other layers on my card are created from scraps, which is always a good thing! I embossed my white layer with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and then added it to my card front with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. The DSP layer is also added with seal. Next I stamped the large apple limb image in Tuxedo Black ink so I could color with Stampin’ Blends Markers, our version of alcohol markers. I used the Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive and Crumb Cake markers and then added some Wink of Stella to the apples. I die cut it with the coordinating die and added it to the card with dimensionals. I had the flagged label that was die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies sitting on the desk and found that it fit the sentiment perfectly. I stamped it in Tuxedo Black and added it with dimensionals. I added a black twine bow to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot and sprinkled on some of the Classic Matte Dots in black and called it done.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment and added the strip of DSP with Stampin’ Seal and then attached it to the inside.
For the envelope I added another strip of DSP to the front of the envelope.
So what do you think? Isn’t that a fun card? There are 6 sets of dies that were added to this promotion. The best part is if you don’t own the stamp sets yet, you can take advantage of the bundle pricing. Or if you already own the stamp sets, score! You can just purchase the dies!!
