Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. I have to say that with all the weather and fire issues going on across the country, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone being affected by them. We have fires around us too and the smoke has been horrendous. It’s been so thick you’d think it was an overcast day. My heart hurts for so many losing everything.
So I wanted to share a card I made today. While I was cleaning up my craft room, I came across some packets of left over classes so I thought, it’s time to use some of the pieces. I pulled out a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP that was a scrap from another project and thought I’d create the card around it. The card base is a piece of Soft Sky, which is a color in the DSP. I adhered the DSP to the middle of the card front. I wanted to incorporate a stamped image too, so I stamped it on a piece of Watercolor Paper. I cut out a scalloped square in Early Espresso and attached the stamped image to it. Looking at the DSP I could see that the sunflower petals are actually outlined, so I took out my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and drew in some of the lines. I didn’t want it to be perfectly outlined, so I just drew in a few lines randomly. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso prior to adding the stamped image so that the scalloped square wouldn’t interfere with the acrylic block. I added some dimensionals to the square and added it to the front of the card on the diagonal. I wanted some bling somewhere, so I grabbed the Glitter Enamel Dots. They are fast becoming one of my favorite embellishment! So how do you like my scrappy card?? I love the color combination, but then, anything in blue is a favorite!! lol
Now you know you want to get this set to, so head over here to place your order. The Hostess Code for September is MGHAAST3 and when you place a $35.00 order, I’ll send you a packet of handmade cards, if your order is $50.00 or more, I’ll include an embellishment from the new catalog. If you haven’t gotten a new catalog from me yet, I’ll include that too.
Thanks for stopping by!
