Hey everyone! Welcome to the final sneak peek for our November Workshop. Isn’t this a fun card? It’s so festive for New Years!!
I saw a version of this card created by Diane Lee and fell in love with the color combo. To create this I used a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ and added a layer of Dapper Denim cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. Then I took a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of regular Whisper White and first wiped it down with the Embossing Buddy to eliminate static cling and then stamped the large fireworks from the It’s a Celebration stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed them with Silver Embossing Powder. Then I stamped over them with the smaller fireworks in Dapper Denim. Next I stamped the little trio of stars in Mint Macaron. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it out using one of the framelits from the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits set. I wanted to add shadow effect, so I cut a piece of Dapper Denim with the framelit and cut it in half with my paper snips and adhered it to the white. I created a medallion using a piece of Mint Macaron cut with a scalloped circle from the Circle Layering Framelits, added a silver Metallic Doily. I wanted to add some of the Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon and the Silver Glitter Ribbon, so I cut a small piece of each and used Mini Glue Dots to add them to the back of the medallion. For depth I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to both the medallion and the sentiment label and adhered them both to the card. I wanted to add some additional bling, so I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the fireworks and sentiment label. Then I added some of the Fancy Frost Sequins. The sequins come in Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum, and White Gold. I used the Soft Sky ones, but they take on a green hint so they worked perfectly.
I really liked how this turned out and hope the ladies enjoy creating it as much as I did when I made it. I will say, if you try to make this card, be sure to let the Dapper Denim dry for a bit before you handle it, because it smears really easily. Trust me on this! lol It took me 3 tries to get this card to this point and I still have a little smudge on it, but figured tough! 😉 It works!
