Hey everyone, happy National Scrapbook Day!! How fun is that?!? Did you get to play with pictures and cardstock today? I was busy most of the day with work and family, but I did get a few minutes in and this is what I created. Two of my babies at a Giants game 3 or 4 years ago. Can you tell who we were playing? lol We had so much fun! As you can tell, I didn’t use all Stampin’ Up! product, shocking, I know! I used my Cricut and some fun glittery brads from my stash and of course, that ribbon. Here are the measurements for my layout:

  • Base in Basic Black at 12″ x 12″ and 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ for the matting on the picture
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 11 1/2″ x 11 1/2″
  • Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 11″ x 11″

After I cut out that cute baseball, bat and helmet image, I glued a scrap piece of Basic Black to the back of the page, then glued it all down on the Whisper White. I added the ribbon at the corners and then glued it down to the Basic Black. When I scrap, I tend to use the Multi Purpose Glue as it allows me to move the cardstock around a little before it dries. Before I glued down the picture, I added a scrap piece of doily to give the layout a more feminine feel to it. Next I pulled out the Touches of Texture stamp set, which is retiring, and stamped the lacey flower image next to the picture. Then I pulled out the Another Wonderful Year stamp set (also retiring) for the “love you more” sentiment, as we say that to each other all the time, and stamped it underneath the picture. Then I used my Stampin’ Paper Piercing Tool (retiring)  and my Pierce Mat to add the holes for those cute brads. I have had those brads for probably 10 years or better!

Then I grabbed the dirt looking image from the Touches of Texture stamp set and stamped it all over the die cut image, because after all, baseball can be a dirty game. And that was it! It took longer to figure out what I was doing then to actually do it! lol

So did you get a chance to play some? I hope you did! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!
