Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!! I hope your week is going well during this busy time of year! I was actually able to do my Facebook Live today showcasing the Kindest Gnomes. If you weren’t able to watch the live, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you’re there, I would love it if you gave my video a thumbs up and if you aren’t a subscriber, I would love it if you subscribed today.
I recently had a class-to-go using this bundle and I shared with you the projects. So today’s video was not only showing you the class, but as a video tutorial for creating the boxes for those that took the class. And if you place a $50.00 order today through Sunday, December 11th, using Host Code GHWDP9P2, not only will you will get a free surprise with your thank you card, but I will also email you the tutorial for the class. So let’s take a look at the card I created, which was not a part of the class. I figured this would give everyone an extra idea for using the product they received in their packets.
Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Pacific Point cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Storybook Gnomes DSP cut at 2″ x 5″, 3″ x 4 1/2″ and 2 1/4″ x 6″ for envelope flap
- White Glimmer circle die cut at 2 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock circle die cut at 2 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
This is actually cased off a CASE-ing Tuesday card I created a few weeks ago. It’s a fun way to show off two of the beautiful designs of the DSP and it’s a very quick card to create. And it’s also a great way to use up those scraps!! I started by stamping my gnome in Memento Tuxedo Black ink since I was going to color him with my Stampin’ Blends markers, Stampin’ Up!’s version of alcohol markers. I colored him using my Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede and Petal Pink markers. Then I used the Light Smoky Slate marker to ahh some highlights on his beard. I then punched him out with my retired 2 1/4″ circle punch, but if you don’t have it, used the Layering Circle Dies. I then used a sponge dauber to add some Pacific Point color to the edge and attached it to the 2 1/2″ circle of White Glimmer paper. I die cut my sentiment label with one of the Potted Succulent dies and stamped my sentiment in Pacific Point ink. I attached my DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal, added one of the Wonderful Snowflakes with a Mini Glue Dot and added my gnome with dimensionals. The sentiment label is also added with dimensionals. Then I sprinkled on some of the Fine Sparkle Gems for bling.
For the inside, I added more ink to my white layer and stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope!
Here’s a look at the box I created during our live.
I die cut the gnome and mushroom from the DSP and fussy cut the animals and bird. I added some of the Snowfall Accent Puffy Paint to the mushroom and heat set it and then added everything to the box with Mini Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment, flagged one one end and added it to the box with more Mini Glue Dots. This box works perfectly to give a gift of cards or even a cute hot cocoa gift. And they’re easy to assemble, which is always a plus!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you some. Have a great rest of your week!!
