Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I wanted to share a sympathy card I created. Seems like I need to make more and more of these the last few weeks. I know sympathy cards can be challenging to create, especially when they are for someone close. Fortunately Stampin’ Up! has so many beautiful products to choose from to help us out! Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Thick Very Vanilla cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Mossy Meadow cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Petal Promenade DSP cut at 3″ x 4″

The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is so beautiful and is perfect for these kind of cards. After I layered the DSP on the Mossy Meadow layer, I added some of the Old Olive Sheer Ribbon. The leaves in the DSP have a variation of greens in them, so this ribbon went really well. I adhered that down to the card front and decided to use the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set for the sentiment so I didn’t cover up all that gorgeous DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and use the Classic Label Punch for it. I did sprinkle on a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to add a subtle bling. Isn’t great how you can use products from other suites? I did use the flower from the Healing Hugs stamp set for the inside and stamped it in 2nd generation Petal Pink. Here’s a look at the inside:

Didn’t that turn out good? I love that rose stamp! It’s one of those new Distinktive Stamp Sets. These new stamps are created in a way that when you ink it, the color stamps in different opacities in one stamped image. And when you use a dauber and add different shades of the same color, it is stunning!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I’m going to have a class in August called Hugs & Healing that will include sympathy, thinking of you and get well cards. Let me know if you’re interested because I will be offering a to go version. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great evening. Oh and before I forget, there won’t be a Fabulous Friday. I’m still getting caught up and didn’t have a chance to film one. I should be back on track next week. Thank you for understanding!
