Today we’re taking a look at the new suite of products called Follow Your Art. Anyone that is into any kind of crafting is going to LOVE this suite! So let’s take a look at today’s card:
- Card base in Coastal Cabana cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Coastal Cabana cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed with the Button Button Embossing Folder
- Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper cut at 1″ x 3″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 1/2″ x 3″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside
I have to tell you, this whole suite is adorable and I’m not sure which item I love more! I grabbed my Coastal Cabana and created my card base and ran my layer through the Big Shot to emboss it. The folder and the dies are the new style and they not only work more smoothly, but are slimmer and make for better storage. After I embossed the layer, I glued it down to the card base. I cut down the DSP strip and started to add it to the card front. I thought it got lost on the embossed layer to I punched out a 2 1/4″ circle of vellum. Then I cut a strip of Calypso Coral with the lace die from the die set. This is where you really notice a difference in the dies from our old style. The cardstock literally popped right out of the die! Anything that intricate would be a struggle to release the paper in the old style. I am sooooo happy with this new style!!! Sot I ran a strip of adhesive down the edge of my DSP and added the lace strip and cut off the ends. I glued this down to the vellum circle and then added a scrap piece of the Coastal Cabana striped ribbon with some Snail adhesive. I had a scrap piece of silver foil, so I cut the paper clip out and added it to the layers then attached it all to the card front with dimensionals. I pulled out the Follow Your Art Embellishment Box and cut off a piece of the Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine, made a bow and used a Mini Glue Dot to add it to the paper clip and then added everything to the card front with dimensionals. I went back to my scraps and found the 1/2″ strip of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink, snipped the ends and added it to the card front with dimensionals. Then I colored some rhinestones with my Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker and added them to the card. Those markers make it so easy to color rhinestones!
