Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can catch the replay here. If you catch it on my Youtube channel, please be sure to subscribe to my channel and share my video. This week we’re playing with the May Paper Pumpkin kit and making three cards.

Card 1:

  • Card base in Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Paper Pumpkin card front cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the back to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for the inside
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside

After trimming the card base from the kit, I added a piece of our Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and then glued it to the card front. I cut out one of the Stitched So Sweetly labels in Just Jade and one in Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the kit in Shaded Spruce ink. I glued the two labels together and attached them to the card base with dimensionals and then added one of the cute enamel shapes. I glued the two inside layers together and added them to the inside, but since I didn’t stamp anything on the inside yet, I just left it blank.

Card 2:

  • Card base in Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Magenta Madness cardstock cut at 3″ x 4 1/2″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside

The card base is actually an extra from a previous project, so all I had to do was layer the pieces to it. I used Pumpkin Pie ink for the sentiment on the ticket die cut. The second die cut from the kit measures 2 3/4″ x 4 3/8″, so I trimmed it down to 4 1/4″ to fit the Magenta Madness layer. I glued them together and added some of the twine from the kit. Next I took the piece of vellum from the kit and added it to the card base with some snail, glued the stamped layers on top and added a couple of the enamel shapes and I was done. Again, I didn’t stamp the inside, just glued the layer in so that it is ready to go when I need it.

Card 3:

  • Card base in Magenta Madness cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Purple Posy cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ (in the video I changed this to Misty Moonlight)
  • Card base from kit cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″

The minute I opened the kit and saw those clouds I knew what my alternate was going to be! How can you not make ice cream out of them?!? I cut down the card base from the kit (this one is by far my favorite in the kit) and layered it on to the Purple Posy layer. I like the card much better with the Misty Moonlight layer. Then I wrapped the twine around it and glued it to the card base. I then took my three clouds and sponged on some Melon Mambo ink since I didn’t have any of the Magenta Madness ink. I had cut a triangle in Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed it with the Coastal Wave 3D Embossing Folder for the look of a sugar cone. I glued the three “scoops” together and then glued them to the cone. The step I forgot in the video was adding some Wink of Stella to the edges of the scoops for an “icy” look. You don’t want to add it to the entire scoop as it will watercolor the ink and you won’t have that soft color to it. Then I added some dimensionals and attached it to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight, which is the color of the ink spot in the kit, on the flagged strip from the kit and added it to the card front more dimensionals. Added three of the enamel shapes and I was done!

Now if you had a chance to watch the video, you’ll see I was having internet issues. Technology is not my friend!! lol If you aren’t a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin yet, you may want to give it a shot. The June kit is inspired by our very own CEO of Stampin’ Up!, Sara Douglas, and it’s all about sharing sunshine. You can subscribe by going here. It is definitely the best Happy Mail you can get!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!
