Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! I know it’s been quiet over here, but that’s because I’ve been really, really busy getting ready for the new catalog and my first vendor/craft fair. I’ve never participated in one before, so it should be fun.
So I finally got to play with the Eastern Palace Suite today, and I must say, why did I wait to order it?!? lol It really is a versatile set. And I absolutely love the font that was used for the sentiments! This set is an early release from the new 2017/2018 Catalog that you can order too! Check out this cute card I made.
So I played around with the thinlets that come in the suite. Took me a few minutes to decide on what I wanted to use, so I just cut out several pieces and put them together. I knew I wanted to use some of the gold stickers on some Dapper Denim. After putting together what I had cut out, I thought it was hard to differentiate the different shapes,so I added a scalloped circle in Very Vanilla.
The back medallion was created by using one of the circle framelits to cut it free from the rest of the cut. That medallion die doesn’t cut it free from the cardstock so if you want this look, you’ll need to make a second cut with the circle framelits. And do you see one of the new In Colors? Yep, that’s Lemon Lime Twist. I really like it with the Dapper Denim. It’s also going to be a great Halloween color! The blue flower has one of the gold stickers on it, then I heat embossed the star with gold embossing powder to tie it all together. All in all I think this set is going to be a good one to have.
So now that you’ve seen this new set, you know you want to get it! Especially since I’m going to have an exclusive project tutorial for those of you on my email list using this suite. These items are only available in a bundle right now, but hey, you’re going to get some new items for free! Here’s a look at what you can choose:
