XMAS in July 1

Hey everyone. How’s your week going? I’m still trying to find my rhythm with this whole retirement thing. I have looked forward to this for a long time and now that it’s here, I’m not sure what to do with it. I still feel like I’m on vacation. On Sunday afternoon I told DH that I had to hurry home so I could finish laundry before Monday. He looked at me, hesitated and asked me why. Lol, then I realized, oh yeah, no need to hurry. But the very best thing is now I don’t have to feel rushed when prepping for classes. 🙂

So here is the first card we’re going to be creating Saturday at my Christmas in July event. This is made using the new Christmas Designer Series Paper called This Christmas and a new stamp set called Peace this Christmas. I wanted to create something that used more non-traditional colors. The card base is Rose Red which looks like some of the color in the flowers and pine cones. I had so much fun making the panel cards last week that I wanted to make some more. This time I made them slimmer and made two using the DSP. And of course, I had to add bling. (shhh, don’t tell anyone, but one of them is hiding a smudge of ink. lol)

I don’t know about you, but I really do love making Christmas cards. With everyone’s busy schedules, especially when we get closer to the holidays, now is a great time to get started on our stash. And what better way to get started than with a bunch of your best girlfriends. We always have so much fun when we get together. I think the ladies are going to like making this one, I sure did.

Check back tomorrow for another sneak peek. We’ll be making 4 different cards so I’ll have a sneak peek for the next 3 days. Have a great evening!
