Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time stopping by my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? I decided to create something other than a Christmas card and decided to change it up, although I did follow all of the measurements from the sketch.
I chose one of the newest Online Exclusives, the new Garden Meadow stamp set and the gorgeous coordinating paper, the Meandering Meadows DSP. I decided to go with an Orchid Oasis card base. I chose the backside of one of the DSP sheets and the pattern I wanted for the 3×3 square. To break up the patterns, I went with a Very Vanilla layer. I attached the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ layer with Stampin’ Seal. Next I wrapped the Very Vanilla layer with a piece of the Orchid Oasis ribbon, tied a bow and then attached it to the card front with Seal. I added my 3×3 layer with dimensionals and chose my sentiment layer. I went with a scrap of Fresh Fresia that I trimmed to the measurements. I wanted the stamped sentiment to really pop, so I first inked it in Versa Mark ink and then Orchid Oasis ink and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I love that I can heat emboss any of our inks just by using Versa Mark and Clear Embossing Powder! Once that was set, I added more Seal and attached it to the card. I then sprinkled on some of the Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio in the pink color which really pulls in the pinks on the base DSP layer.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment and the flowers in Orchid Oasis ink, stamping off the flowers first on a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I added it to the inside with Stampin’ Seal.
And don’t forget to decorate you envelope! I stamped the same flower on the front of the a Very Vanilla envelope.
So, what do you think of my card? Isn’t that DSP gorgeous??? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up like I did. It’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it the way you want with your style!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. If you get a chance to get inky this week, I really hope you will join us. Have a great rest of your week.
