Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday #368! I hope your week is going well. Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch for this week:
Isn’t that a cute card? I love that cherry bundle! I decided to play with a stamp set that I haven’t used yet, the Sunny Splash stamp set.
I just love all of the cute swim suits! They seem so retro to me and something my mom might have worn back in the 50’s. I followed the measurements from the sketch for my card. And the best part, this entire card is created with scraps! I started with a Starry Sky card base and added a piece of the 2022/2024 In Color Glimmer Paper in Starry Sky. Next I stamped my swim suit in Parakeet Party ink and fussy cut it out. To coordinate with the suit, I added a scrap of DSP in Parakeet party at the bottom of the card. I used some Multipurpose Glue to attach it the strip and then trimmed it at the edges of the card base. I stamped my sentiment in Starry Sky ink and added that piece to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and the suit with dimensionals. For my bling, I used the Dark Parakeet Party and Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends Markers to color some rhinestones and then added them to the card front. I love that I can color any of our beautiful embellishments to coordinate perfectly with my project with any of our Blends Markers!
For the inside, I had a piece of Basic White that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ and I added a scrap of that In Color DSP at the top on an angle to match the look of the outside of the card. I stamped my sentiment in Starry Sky ink and then glued it to the inside.
And don’t forget to decorate you envelope. You don’t want to send out a naked envelope!! 😉 I took the last of the DSP and glued it to the flap and then trimmed it with my snips.
Doesn’t that just pull the entire project together? I love this technique!! Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing, it’s all up to you! Then share your creation in the comments of this week’s challenge. It’s really that simple!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great week and be sure to take some time for yourself to get inky! Take care!
