Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, I am so happy you stopped by and please be sure to join my email list so you can keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet today and see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and sketch for this week:
Isn’t that a cute card? When I saw this, I knew I wanted to recreate the card in different colors, and that is exactly what I did!
My first thought was to use black for the card, but it was just too dark. I went with a Thick Basic White card base and chose Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape cardstocks and Brights DSP and Pattern Party DSP. I first started by punching out all of my pieces. I followed the card with where I placed all of my pieces. I heat embossed the leaves, and flowers with Black Embossing Powder and then added them all to the card front with dimensionals. Next I punched out my leaves and boughs in Basic Black cardstock and added them to the card front with some of the Mini Black Dimensionals. I trimmed a strip of Basic Black cardstock and stamped the image in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with the White Embossing Powder. I trimmed it to match the sample and added it to the card front with more Black Dimensionals. Then to really give my spin, I added the rhinestones and the little bow in white twine.
I didn’t stamp a sentiment yet, but I did add some of the leaves in Tuxedo Black ink.
And I decorated my envelope with the same leaves stamped in black. We don’t want to send out naked envelopes! 😉
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CT Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing; it’s all up to you!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week and you take some time to get inky with us!
