Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? I don’t know about you, but I’m done with Christmas cards for the year, so I went with a birthday theme. Plus, you can tell I really changed it up by making my a portrait style card.
I followed all the measurements from the sketch, just changed the orientation. I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added a piece of the Hand-Penned DSP. I wanted something with some yellow in it since it’s been raining for the last couple of days here. I chose the top layer as it also has flowers that look similar to the the cone flower in the Harvest Die set. I added that piece of DSP with Stampin’ Seal on top of the large piece of DSP and then attached them both to my white card base. I die cut the shadow image of the cone flower in Basic Black cardstock and then added lots of Wink of Stella so it would shimmer. I added it to the card front with some of the Black Dimensionals. Next I stamped my sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on my white label making sure to leave room at the left hand side for my bow in Fresh Freesia ribbon. I then added it to the strip of So Saffron with more Seal. I attached it to the card front over the stem of the flower with dimensionals and added some of rhinestones for extra bling.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ and then attached to the inside with Stampin’ Seal.
And for my envelope, I added some more DSP to the flap. No naked envelopes!!!!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. It’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing; you create it in your style. And if you’re not a member of the group yet, not a problem. Just answer the membership questions and join along; we would love to have you play along with us!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your week!
