Welcome to the first CASE-ing Tuesday of the year! And we’re casing from the new January – June Mini Catalog that went live today, so this is super exciting!! Isn’t that a cute card? I don’t have this set yet, but I do have the new Hydrangea Haven stamp set and some of that gorgeous Hydrangea Hill DSP!! Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers and so it was one of the first items I pre-ordered as a demonstrator.
I really liked this week’s sketch and followed all of the measurements for my card. I knew I wanted to use the piece of DSP with the close up of the hygrangeas, so I just needed to pick another piece to coordinate or the larger layer. I used a Gorgeous Grape card base and glued the striped layer down with some Stamin’ Seal adhesive. I added the second layer with dimensionals. Next I found a scrap of Shimmery White cardstock and punched out three of the smaller butterfly using the Butterfly Duet punch. I had enough of the scrap to trim it to size and stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink. I just love the font of this stamp set! I added the sentiment layer with dimensionals and then the three butterflies with Mini Glue Dots. To finish them off, I added some of the Pastel Pearls from the suite. They are soooo gorgeous!!
For the inside, I used a scrap of Whisper White cardstock that measures 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and the leaves in Old Olive. I also stamped the leaves on the envelope – no naked envelopes!! lol
