Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well and if this is your first time visiting, please be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing this week (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a gorgeous card? I knew I wanted to use that bundle, but wanted to change it up just a little, which is exactly what casing is all about, right?

That Peony Garden DSP is gorgeous!! And the Elegant Faceted Gems are stunning! The photo in the catalog just doesn’t do them justice! I followed the measurements in the sketch, which makes creating so much easier. I cut my piece of DSP and then added it to a Thick Whisper White card base. Next I stamped the peony image in Smoky Slate ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut a scrap of Smoky Slate cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ so that when I used the border die, it would measure the 2 1/2″ wide after it was cut. I glued that piece to the card front and added one of the pretty square vellum doilies. They are really precious and make the cutest touch to any project. I then cut a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock to the measurements and stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink and then added it to the card front with dimensionals. I added dimensionals to the back of the peony, attached it to the card front and then added the faceted gems. It was really pretty easy. The close up shot gives you a better look at those gorgeous gems.

For the inside of the card I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ that I had stamped. The sentiment is in Basic Gray and the peony, the same image as the card front, is stamped in Petal Pink ink, stamped off first. I like to add a piece of cardstock to the inside even when using a white card base as I think it gives the card a more finished look.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly as is, or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! And don’t worry if you aren’t a member of the FB Group yet, just request to join. We would love to have you come over and play along!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
