Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday, the first day of the brand new 2019/2020 Annual Catalog and the first project in my new studio!!! What a happy day it is!! Have you seen the card we’re casing today over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, here it is along with the sketch:

I love that we have sketches now to go along with the sample, it just makes casing (copy and share everything) so much easier! Isn’t that sample card adorable? I don’t have that stamp set yet, so I went with the absolutely gorgeous Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the beautiful Magnolia Lane DSP. So pretty!! I used the same measurements as the sketch, which made creating this card a snap and even better, everything but the DSP is made with scraps!

I cut the DSP to the 4″ x 5″ size and glued it down to the Petal Pink card base like the sample shows. Since I just moved into my new studio, I don’t have my dies accessible yet, so I cut the Whisper White layer to the measurements shown. I stamped the magnolia in Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers. This was my first time using the magnolia in this set and I have to say, it is just a beautiful! I then glued that down to the card front and started on the sentiment layer. I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow to size, wiped it down with the Embossing Buddy and stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark ink. The Embossing Buddy is a great tool to help you eliminate those little speckles that show up when you heat emboss. I heat embossed some White Embossing Powder on it and added it to the card front with dimensionals.

I kept the inside blank for the time being, just added the leaf and colored it with the markers. I love how those markers color! Makes you feel like a pro!! lol

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over on the Facebook Group. Don’t worry if you’re not a member yet, just request to join! We would love to have you play along with us! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
