Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Have you seen the project we’re casing this week over on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? It is one that will definitely get you in the mood for the holidays! Here’s a look at it:
What a fun image to color! Sadly, I don’t have this stamp set, but I thought I’d follow the Christmas tree theme and the basic sketch of the design with a few minor tweaks. Since we only have a little over a week left for the limited time Snowflake Showcase products, I thought this was a perfect time to use the Snow is Glistening stamp set that has that gorgeous tree. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Crumb Cake layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder
- Joyous Noel DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Vellum cardstock cut at 1″ x 1 3/4″
I thought since I was using the snowflake image the Swirls & Curls embossing folder was the perfect background as is the strip of DSP. I am really sad that this DSP pack has sold out already. I stamped the tree image in Tranquil Tide ink and the little snowflake topper in Crumb Cake ink. I used the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end of the DSP then I adhered all the papers together and added them to the card front. Next I stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink, then added Clear Embossing powder and heat embossed it so it wouldn’t smear. I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card front and added one of the True Gentlemen’s buttons and a double bow of Linen Thread, also with Mini Glue Dots. Of course you can’t have that beautiful snowflake tree without bling, so I had to add some clear rhinestones. Didn’t it turn out cute? I just love it!
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s project and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. If you’re not a member yet, that’s okay, just request to join, we’d love to have you play along! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
