Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, here’s a look at what we’re casing:
Isn’t that a cute card? I didn’t use this stamp set, but I did follow the sketch pretty closely. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 1/2″ x 1″
- Old Olive cardstock cut at 2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
- Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP 2 cut at 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 3″
- Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 3/4″ x 1 1/4″
I wanted to incorporate my Product of the Week, the Candy Cane Season bundle and thought this sketch was actually an easy one to do just that. My card is created from all leftover projects or scraps again. Love pulling out those scraps and working with them!
I stamped the little snowflakes stamp randomly on the card front in Lemon Lime Twist ink, then again in Old Olive ink. I actually created the flagged end on my Old Olive strip with the Tailored Tag punch since the cardstock was too wide for the Banner Triple punch. Nice to have an extra alternative use for a punch, right? I adhered that to the card front, then adhered the two strips of DSP behind my Whisper White square and added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I stamped the candy cane in Poppy Parade ink and the bow in Old Olive, punched them out and added them with dimensionals. I then stamped my sentiment on a strip of Whisper White and trimmed it down and added it to a Poppy Parade mat then adhered it to the card front. I found a leftover bow from the Burlap Ribbon and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. I pulled out my rhinestones and found the two gems already colored with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends marker, so I used them too! This just shows…never throw anything away!!! lol
So what do you think? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s case and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. If you’re not a member yet, that’s okay! Just request to join, we would love to have come over and play along with us! Have a great Tuesday!!
