Good morning and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Have you been over to the Facebook Group yet to see all the beautiful creations? If you haven’t seen the sample for this week’s case, here it is:

Isn’t that adorable? I don’t have that bundle yet so I had to change my take on the card a little bit. I still went with the basket idea and used the Basket of Wishes stamp set that debuted a couple of years ago. I love that you can switch out the baskets and the fillers to fit your need. I chose my favorite, sunflowers. I know that they are more of a fall flower, but they’re just too cute to pass up! Here are the measurements on my card:

  • Card base using the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Chocolate Chip layer cut with the largest scallop from the Layering Squares Framelits
  • Whisper White layer cut with the largest stitched square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits

I instantly thought of the color combo of yellow and brown, so I pulled out one of the yellow card bases in the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes pack that are a Sale-a-bration item. First I stamped the basket in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then the sunflowers. I colored everything using a Blender Pen. I love the versatility that you get with Blender Pens, being able to color is my favorite therapy! After I colored the images, I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves, cut it out with the framelit, then I adhered it to the scalloped square and set it aside. Here’s a look at the flowers up close:

I went rummaging through my scraps and found a piece of Crumb Cake that fit the card base perfectly, so I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and adhered it down. I added dimensionals to the scalloped square and adhered it down to the card base. I found a bow of twine left over from another project and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Don’t you love it when you can use up those scraps? I sprinkled on some of the Tutti-Frutti Sequins and called it done. I think it turned out pretty good, what do you think?

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on the above picture and share it over on the Facebook Group. You create it as it’s shown or change a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! That’s the beauty with casing, it’s whatever YOU want to do!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
