Wow! What a week it’s been!!! In case you hadn’t heard, the server that hosts this site was hacked and and we were suspended for the last 7 days. I don’t don’t know if I’ve ever had anything as frustrating happen before. You just feel like your hands are tied. Thank goodness for my fantastic web designer!! Of course the fact that she’s my daughter has nothing to do with it!! 😉
So I wanted to share a quick card I cased from Pinterest this afternoon. I was trying to create a card using the stamp set Easter Message and was failing miserably. So what does everyone do in that instance? Yep! Look on Pinterest!! I fell in love with this card and had to create it. I have always liked purple for Easter cards and this one fits the bill.
The original card colored the cross using Aqua Painters, but I used a blender pen. I love coloring with ink and a blender pen. Then to give it a softer look and make the sentiment pop, it is stamped on Vellum Cardstock then attached to the Whisper White using tiny dots of glue from the Fine Tip Glue. It worked really well under the vellum. Then both are attached to a piece of the Gold Foil Paper, add a piece of Elegant Eggplant Baker’s Twine, and attached to the card with dimensionals. The strip of Crumb Cake was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. It really gives the card a lot of dimension. Here are the dimensions for the card:
- Elegant Eggplant    8 1/2 x 5 1/2
- Perfect Plum       1 x 5 1/2″
- Crumb Cake       1 x 5 1/2″
- Gold Foil          4 x 3 7/8″
- Whisper White      3 7/8″ x 3 3/4″
- Vellum            3 7/8″ x 3 3/4″
