Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!! So we’re just 4 short days until Christmas…are you ready?!? I just started my baking yesterday, so I am very behind, but that’s ok! No matter how much I get done, it will be enough! After 4 batches of cookies today, I had to get away from the kitchen and relax. So what do we paper crafters do? That’s right, we create something!! lol I cased this card from one of the samples I get for being a member of the Creating Success group. I fell in love with this card the minute I saw it! Here are the dimensions:
- Card base in Crumb Cake cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- First layer in Crumb Cake cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and embossed with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder
- Early Espresso cut at 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Whisper White cut at 3″ x 3″
I forgot all about the Cable Knit Embossing Folder until I saw this sample. I think it is the perfect fall and winter folder and I’m sad I’ve already missed 3 months of using it!! 🙂 So after I embossed the Crumb Cake piece I went ahead and adhered it to the card base. Then I stamped my little scene all in Early Espresso ink. When you stamp it, make sure you stamp the tray first very close to the bottom so that you have room to stamp the sentiment at the top. Once everything was stamped, including the sentiment, I got out my Blender Pens and colored the mugs with Pool Party and the shelf in Crumb Cake. I then adhered this to the Early Espresso square, added a piece of doily at the bottom, then adhered it to the card with dimensionals. Once that was done, I added a couple of rhinestones to the mugs and some Wink of Stella to the whip cream and the marshmallows and called it done. I know after seeing this card you want to get a cup of hot chocolate, don’t you? This card just makes me smile!!
