Hello everyone! I hope you have been having a good week. I hope you were able to catch my Facebook Live this morning. I know it’s usually on Thursdays, but life just got in the way. If you weren’t able to watch live, you can catch it on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I appreciate it if you would give my video a thumbs up. Also, if you aren’t a subscriber, I would be honored if you subscribed. Today we played with the Sale-a-bration bundle called Wonderful World. It includes a stamp set that coordinates with some gorgeous paper. You can get the set for FREE with a $100.00 order in product from either catalog.
When I first saw this set in the SAB catalog, I wasn’t too impressed….but like everyone else, saw it used and just had to have it!! That never happens to you, right? lol And on top of that, I couldn’t decide which paper to use, so I used two and created the gift card holder in each. Here are the measurements for both:
- Starry Sky and Mossy Meadow cardstocks cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 1 1/2″ and 5 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock 2 cut at 3 3/4″ x 4″, 1 at 1″ x 4″ and 1 at 1 1/4″ x 4″
- Wonderful World DSP cut one at 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and 2 at 1″ x 4″
Let’s start with the Starry Sky one.
I started by creating the card bases. Once they’ve been prepped, fold on the score lines. I attached the DSP layers to the Basic White layers and added the largest to the front of the card base. The 1 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White layer is attached at the back edge of the card base with a 1/4″ space around. When you fold the 1 1/2″ score line over to create the gift card holder, you should have not quite a 1/2″ space between the layers. I then colored the iris image using our Stampin’ Write Markers. This is where these markers really shine! I started with the Orchid Oasis marker and colored the entire flower top. Then I took the Rich Razzleberry marker and colored some of the outlines to give it that bearded iris look. Next I took the Mossy Meadow marker and colored the stem and leaves. Now by the time you get to this point, the ink is pretty dry, so you huff on it to moisten it and stamp your image. It really is pretty cool! When you’re coloring the iris, you can feel the different lines in the etching of the rubber that creates the distinktive images. After I stamped the images, I stamped the sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set in Starry Sky ink. I attached this layer to the Orchid Oasis layer (both die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Die Set) with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I added more adhesive to the back and added some of the Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon and attached it to the card front with dimensionals. The bling is some of the 2021/2023 In Color Opal Rounds. I LOVE those opals!! They go with just about everything!!
For the inside, I added a piece of the DSP at the left of the Basic White layer and stamped the sentiment, also from the Very Best Occasions set, in Starry Sky.
Then I created the gift card holder on the flap. I stamped the sentiment layer and added it to close to the score line and then punched the edge with the Decorative Circle punch. I added some Tear & Tape to the edges and glued it down.
Isn’t that cute? I added another iris to the envelope to tie it all together.
I repeated all of this on the rose card. Here’s a look at the front:
The rose is colored with the Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow markers and I used the White Glitter Ribbon on the back of the Blushing Bride layer and more of the opals.
So, tell me what you think – aren’t they gorgeous? I hope I was able to inspire you today. Like I mentioned in my video, I really didn’t care for this bundle when I first saw it, but now I can’t get enough! If you would like to add this to your collection, I would be honored to have you shop with me. Here is a link to my online store here. When you shop and use Host Code 6AWRFNP6 with a $50.00 order or more, I’ll send you a pack of the In Color Opal Rounds I used today. You will LOVE them!
