Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. So are you ready for another CASE-ing Tuesday? Here’s a look at what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week:
As Design Team Members with the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, we get to choose samples to case with each new catalog release, and this is the one I chose for the new Annual Catalog. I just thought the details in this card would be so fun to case!! But, as you can see, I did change a few things with my take.
I had been watching a Stampin’ Up! video on YouTube from National Scrapbook Day where they used the Wildflowers Celebrations Scrapbook Workshop Kit, and I thought, hey, I have some leftovers from my kit to use up…so here we are! I pulled out a Pretty in Pink card base and trimmed another scrap of it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the top layer. I was going to use a cupcake die cut for the center and it wouldn’t fit with a 2″ circle, so I went with the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch. I then embossed the layer with one of the embossing folders from the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder set. I then trimmed a scrap of the DSP to 3″ x 3″ and attached it to the card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and attached the embossed layer to the card with dimensionals. I didn’t like the look of the cupcake, so I went with a floral and some of the leaves die cuts attaching them with diemsnioanls. I thought this design needed something more than a birthday card, so I went with the Sweet Blooms stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink on a 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ strip of Basic White. I then flagged the ends of the strip with my snips and added it to the card with dimensionals. For bling, I decided to keep it simple and just add Wink of Stella to all of the flowers. I wish it would show better in the pictures.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiments in Blueberry Bushel and Pretty in Pink inks. With such a large sentiment, I didn’t think it needed anything else added.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I used some more of that beautiful paper to decorate the envelope flap.
