Hey everyone, happy Saturday! I know I don’t normally post on Saturday’s, but I wanted to share with you my final project for this week’s Product of the Week, the Well Said Bundle. I think out of all of them, this one is my favorite! Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Thick Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Gold Foil Sheet cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 1″ x 3″
- Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 1″ x 3″ and 2 cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″, one for the inside layer
I wanted to use the new Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that I just received and I thought it would make the perfect wedding card. I went with the Very Vanilla and Gold color combo. I first embossed my Very Vanilla layer, then cut the Gold Foil Sheet to mat it on. Here’s a tip I’ll share with you when matting on foil. It would be a shame to cover up so much foil when matting a layer on it, so I just cut the middle out with my trimmer leaving about 1/2″ frame to mat my Very Vanilla on. Perfect! Once I adhered the two together, I grabbed my Gold Metallic Edged ribbon and wrapped a piece around it and tied it in a bow. That ribbon makes the prettiest bows!! Then I adhered both layers to the card base. I cut out a piece of Very Vanilla with one of the smaller Stitched Rectangle Framelits, then I stamped my sentiment in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and heat embossed it. I adhered that to the gold foil piece and added it to the card front with some dimensionals. I thought the card front could use a little more bling, so I cut out the butterfly from the Well Said Framelits in gold foil and added it to the card front with a couple of Mini Glue Dots. You can add dimension to whatever you’re gluing down by rolling the glue dot off the roll. Then I sprinkled on some pearls on the embossed layer and added them to the butterfly and sentiment layers. For the inside I stamped the sentiment again in Versa Mark and heat embossed it in gold and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I found a smudge on the layer, so I cut out the flower in foil and added it over the smudge. I don’t normally add pearls or rhinestones to the inside of the card, but I did in this case. If you ever do, just add an extra piece of cardstock to the inside when you go to mail it to avoid creating a mark on the card front.
I hope you liked all the samples this week using the Well Said Bundle. I know it’s on the pricey side, but with it being Sale-a-bration right now, you will qualify for a FREE item when you order this, (like that gorgeous embossing folder I used today!) so it’s a win-win! Even better, add it to your Starter Kit when you join the family! After all, you get $175.00 in product in both options, you just need to choose if you want to get that adorable Craft & Carry Tote Bag!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
