Hey everyone! How is your week going? I wanted to share another look at some of our fabulous inks and what better way then watercoloring? And I can’t think of a better stamp set to watercolor with then High Tide. Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Watercolor Paper cut at 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″
After creating the card base and layers, I embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Seaside Embossing Folder. I had some extra Whisper White Baker’s Twine on my desk from another project, so I wrapped it around the layer. Then I added a bow that was also left over from another project. Love using up those scraps! Then I took my Aqua Painter and created my background on the watercolor paper. I started with Sahara Sand, then added some Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Balmy Blue and finally some Pacific Point. Once it dried, (if you don’t want to wait for it to air dry, just hit with the heat gun a little bit) I stamped the water image in Balmy Blue over the Pool Party. Next I took out my Stamparatus and stamped the lighthouse. I had trouble stamping this free hand before, so I decided now was the time to use that tool! I stamped one side in Early Espresso and the other in Basic Gray. The Stamparatus sure helped with this one! I next stamped the sand in Crumb Cake and the birds in Basic Gray. Once I finished that, I adhered it down with some Snail adhesive. Next I stamped the front sentiment, which is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. I added a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it to the lower right of the card. I thought a little bling was in store, so I added some rhinestones and Wink of Stella on the water. Then I found a 3 x 4 scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from High Tide in Crumb Cake and adhered it to the inside.
