Hey everyone! How’s your Wednesday going? Still raining here…I’m thinking we’re going to start growing webbed feet shortly! lol Ready for another look at this week’s Product of the Week? The measurements for this card are:

  • Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed
  • Shimmery White cardstock cut with the largest oval

I started by cutting my oval first and then grabbing my Watercolor Pencils and colored the oval. Now some of these colors are from the Watercolor Pencils 2nd Assortment that came out last year, but aren’t available at the moment. Hopefully they’ll come back in the next Annual Catalog. For the water I used Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. For the sand I used Early Espresso, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. Then i used my Aqua Painter to blend the colors. When you do this you don’t want the brush to be completely saturated as it will wash out all the color. You just want it damp and use short strokes. After it dried I stamped the the trunk of the palm tree in Crumb Cake ink and the fronds in Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana and then added Wink of Stella on the water and the sand. Next I took the piece of Coastal Cabana and embossed it with the Seaside Embossing Folder. I added a piece of Crumb Cake Cotton Ribbon around it and tied it in a bow. I adhered that piece down to the card base and then added the oval with some dimensionals. I sprinkled on some of the Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots and called it done. Here’s what it looks like up close.

I love the tone on tone of the enamel dots. It just gives it a subtle shimmer. Now if you would like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store.
