Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. Are you missing those craft fairs because of the whole pandemic? Well, I have a surprise for you….I am a vendor in virtual fall festival this weekend and YOU are invited to come along! There will be consultants from Scentsy, Damsel in Distress, Tupperware, and Pampered Chef just to name a few and you can shop with any of them from the comfort of your home and even in your jammies! Doesn’t this sound like the best kind of craft fair to go to? You can go any time of day and shop with whoever you want, but you do need to join the Virtual Fall Fest Facebook Group to attend. I will be showcasing my crafts from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm PT on Sunday with a Facebook Live scheduled for 1:00. With that in mind, I will not be having my FB Live tomorrow. So mark your calendars for this Saturday and Sunday to shop.
I thought this was the perfect time to share my fall card using the Life is Beautiful stamp set. I am so looking forward to the change in the weather, especially because fall is my favorite time of year! The crispness in the air, the aroma of the changing leaves with their gorgeous colors, and let’s not forget everything pumpkin! I just love everything about it!! 🙂 And what better way to celebrate it then with a fall card! And it’s a quick and easy one to create too! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Cinnamon Cider cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Bumble Bee cardstock 2 cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Very Vanilla cardstock 2 cut at 3 3/4″ x 5
I started by first stamping the tree in Early Espresso ink, leaving enough room at the left of the layer to include the sentiment, also stamped in Early Espresso. Then I took the falling leaves image and stamped it several times in Bumble Bee ink, and I didn’t reink it between stamping either so that it gave the images more dimension. Then I repeated it with more leaves in Old Olive and Cinnamon Cider inks. The fun part of this is that no two cards will look exactly the same. Next I stamped the bird house image in Basic Gray to give it a shadow look. The ground image at the base of the tree is also in Basic Gray ink, but I stamped off first. I then glued my two layers together and added them to the card front. For my bling I added two of the 2020/2022 Enamel Dots in Cinnamon Cider.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and added some more of the falling leave in Bumble Bee and Cinnamon Cider inks.I then glued my Very Vanilla layer to the Bumble Bee layer and both to the inside.
Isn’t that a simple card? Just stamps, ink and paper, oh and a little bling of course; one just can’t go through life without bling!!! 🙂 I hope you have a chance to come out to the Virtual Fall Festival. If you would like to order any of the items I used today or see something I will be showcasing on Sunday, just head over to my online store here. When you shop and use Host Code KVAAQGWZ and spend $50.00 or more, I will send you a free embellishment out of the new Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog. Also, please be sure to join me on Sunday for my Facebook Live and leave a comment. I will have a random drawing for a FREE September Paper Pumpkin kit from everyone who leaves a remark on my FB Live post. The September kit is all about fall, so you don’t want to miss it! I am going to be showing the kit during my live too so you can see what you get a chance to win. See? Going to a virtual craft fair is going to be fun!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your week and I will “see” you on Sunday at 1:00!! Remember to go to the Virtual Fall Fest Facebook Group to join!
