Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous 4th of July holiday weekend. We kept it pretty low key around here, which is always a good thing! I wanted to share a card, which is actually one of the cards from my Summer Sampler class. Here are the measurements for the card:

  • Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Come Sail Away DSP cut at 3″ x 4″ and 3″ x 4″
  • Real Red cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 1/2″ x 3 1/2″

To start, I created the extra square when I was making the others for my sampler. I took some of the coordinating Baker’s Twine and wrapped it around the square of DSP and secured it using some scotch tape, and then glued it down to the Real Red square. I stamped the compass in Night of Navy ink and punched it out with the 1 1/2″ circle punch and added it to the square with dimensionals. Next I cut out the compass needle in Real Red cardstock and added it to the center of the compass with a Mini Glue Dot. To give it some depth, I actually rolled the glue dot off with my finger and then attached it to the center of the compass and added the needle. Next I glued the 3″ x 4″ DSP to the bottom of the card base and then added the square with dimensionals. Next I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy on the scrap strip of Whisper White and then flagged the ends with my Paper Snips. I added some dimensionals to the back, attached it to the card and then sprinkled on some red and clear rhinestones. So patriotic!!

Isn’t it cute? If you would like to order any of these products, you can go to my online store here. When you shop and use Host Code 9CM4TYUN, I will send you a pack of handmade cards. Remember, it’s Bonus Days and for every $50.00 you spend you’ll get a $5.00 coupon in your email to use next month. I’m going to spoil you even more if you spend $50.00! I will send you not only the handmade cards, but a pack of rhinestones. If you spend $75.00 or more, I’ll include the project packets and instructions to create the Summer Sampler plus two cards, this one included! Due to shipping costs I won’t be including the 12 x 12 page, but I know you’ll have something you can use. The chipboard piece that is included in our DSP works perfectly and is the best way to recycle!

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project. I hope you have a great start to your week!
