While that isn’t my typical style, it is still a cute card. Here’s a look at my take for the week.
I decided to use last month’s Product of the Month, the True Blue Florals DSP. When I created this blog post, the paper was still available. Not sure what the Product of the Month is? Every month there is a different exclusive item available for just $5.00 with a qualifying order of $75.00. This month’s product is an exclusive stamp set. I can’t wait to get that one!
Back to my card. I did follow all of the measurements for my card, and the squares are all cut from the same sheet of DSP. I attached them all to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Seal. I thought the leaves in the pattern looked like the die in the Christmas Greenery die set, so I cut a scrap of Balmy Blue cardstock. I sponged it with Night of Navy ink. I cut a scrap of Basic White to the 2×2 size and sponged on some Balmy Blue ink and stamped the sentiment from the Reason to Celebrate stamp set in Night of Navy ink. This stamp set is the perfect set for any celebration, from birthdays to New Year’s! I attached the leaves with a couple of Mini Glue Dots to the label and then added dimensionals to the back and added it to the card front. Then sprinkled on plenty of rhinestones for bling.
For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and added another die cut leaf in Balmy Blue and sponged it with Night of Navy. The Basic White layer measures 3 3/4″ x 5″.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I had about 10″ left of a 2″ strip, so I used some of it to decorate the envelope. Normally I would use a 2 1/4″ strip, but I didn’t want to cut any more of the sheet, which is why my envelope flap is straight edge rather than rounded.
