Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today is a “back to my roots” kind of day. I got to scrap!! That always makes me happy! Like so many others, I am way behind in my scrapping, but hey, that’s okay, we just do what we can! Today’s project is created using both the Trick or Tweet stamp set and a couple of elements from the September Paper Pumpkin kit. That kit is so stinking cute!!! Here are the measurements for my layout:

  • Base in Basic Black cardstock 12 x 12
  • Toil & Trouble DSP cut at 3/4″ x 12″ and 3″ x 12″
  • Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 5″ x 4″ and 4 3/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Highland Heather cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″

These are pictures of my youngest daughter Corey and my grandson Charlie decorating Halloween cookies last year. (told you I was behind!! lol) By the looks on their faces, this was pretty serious stuff! I love how Charlie has icing on his face in one of the pictures. When you look at that platter of finished cookies, it makes you smile….although it makes my teeth hurt thinking about all that sugar!!  😉

I started with a piece of Basic Black 12 x 12 and adhered the strips of DSP down. I trimmed my pictures down and matted them on the cardstock layers. I pulled out my Paper Pumpkin kit and grabbed one of the ghosts and the treat bag topper and made a tab for one of my pictures, then stamped the sentiment from the kit in Memento ink. I adhered all the pictures down then wrote out my journaling. I punched it out with the Pretty Label punch and added the extra layers of Black Foil and Pumpkin Pie using my circle punches. I stamped the sentiment from the Trick or Tweet stamp set and added the jack-o-lantern, punched it out with the 2″ circle punch and added the starburst layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I love how all of the products from different suites coordinate so well. It just makes creating so much fun! Of course I had to add some bling, and the Glitter Enamel Dots were the perfect choice!!

I have to say, it felt so good to get back to scrapbooking! Wait til you see tomorrow’s layout!! Just an fyi on the Paper Pumpkin kit, the September kit includes enough product to create 24 adorable treat bags. Now to get busy and create the rest. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
