Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a fun layout I created at my family fun day in the studio yesterday. The moment I snapped this picture of my sweet grandson Charlie, I knew I was scrappin’ it!

Okay, you have to admit, that he’s got that aviator look goin’ on, right? Here are the measurements for my layout:

  • Basic Black 12″ x 12″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 11 3/4″ x 11 3/4″
  • 2022/2024 In Color DSP in Starry Sky 2 cut at 1/2″ x 6″, 1 cut at 1 3/4″ x 6″ and 1 cut at 1 3/4″ x 5 3/4″
  • Silver & Gold DSP cut at 2 1/4″ x 6″ and 2 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ and 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
  • Photo trimmed to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and Basic Black mat cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″

I am so, so happy that Stampin’ Up! brought back our Basic Black 12″ x 12″!!!! I have missed it so much! I loosely followed a photo of a layout in a magazine, but of course, it didn’t come close by the time I was done!! lol I used my Cricut to die cut the jets out of Basic Black, which are attached with Multipurpose Glue. The clouds were created by punching a scrap of Thick Basic White with the Cloud Punch to create a stencil, then I sponged on some Craft White ink with a dauber. I love how it looks with the one jet glued over it. Kind of like that effect when the planes fly in the new movie…that was pure accident!! lol I also die cut the letters with my Cricut and attached them Multipurpose Glue. The white sequins were just subtle enough for my bling and go very well with the silver foil.

We had such a fun day yesterday!! I am blessed to be able to provide a place for my girls and grandson to come out and enjoy some time gettin’ crafty!! Thanks for stopping by!
