Happy Veterans Day! I hope you’re having a great weekend and have had the chance to thank a vet for their service. It’s because of the sacrifice that they and their families have made that we have the freedoms that we enjoy. With that thought in mind, I thought I’d share one of the thank you cards I made. They were actually for all my new Paper Pumpkin customers, but the colors are perfect for military! The card base is actually from a retired set of Crumb Cake note cards, but I love the look of that with the green and black. Hey, we gotta use up our stash, right?
I cut a piece of the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, which is the same color palette of the October and November Paper Pumpkin kits. I used the thank you sentiment from the Eastern Beauty stamp set, which has one of my favorite fonts in it. I then cut it out with an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, added it to a Basic Black scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. I added some adhesive on the back and a piece of the Black Shimmer Ribbon, then popped it up on dimensionals and added it to the card front. The glitter dots are the perfect final touch!
