Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I wanted to share the swap card I created for our team swap. This month’s swap theme was to choose your favorite Sale-a-bration item. Picking just one was really hard! I chose the Part of My Story stamp set. I LOVE the sentiments in that set! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Gingham Gala DSP cut at 2″ x 5″
- Basic Black cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″
- Whisper White cardstock cut with the 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ stitched rectangle
I also chose the Lovely Lattice stamp set that is another Sale-a-bration set. So I thought this stamp set was the perfect compliment to the Part of My Story set, not to mention, I got to color! Anytime I get to color I am a happy girl!! I stamped the image in Memento ink since I was using my Stampin’ Blends Markers, and then just relaxed and colored! After I colored the flowers and leaves, I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink too. I cut it out with one of the new Stitched Rectangle Framelits in the Occasions Catalog. I was so excited to see those framelits when they came out! Then I just adhered everything down with Snail adhesive. I got out my Wink of Stella and added it to all the flowers to give it some shimmer. Then I had a double bow of Basic Black Baker’s Twine in my lazy Susan that holds my acrylic blocks and pieces of ribbon and thought it was perfect for this card. Then sprinkle on a few rhinestones and voila! I think this turned out so bright and cheery!! I am going to make sure I have one of these cards for myself!
