Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I wanted to share the card I created for my team swap. The theme for this month’s swap is a fall project with a pumpkin. Easy peasy! And this card was created with all scraps too! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Early Espresso cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ and 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ for the inside
- Come to Gather DSP cut at 3″ x 3″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″ for the inside
I knew I wanted use the Come to Gather DSP, so I dug around in my scraps file and came across the square that was already mounted on the Pretty Peacock layer. I pulled that and a left over Early Espresso card base and added the square with dimensionals. Next I took a scrap of Pretty Peacock and used my Aqua Painter to wet one corner, then I cut it out with the leaf die from the bundle. I did the same with a scrap of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. After I cut them out, I added some Wink of Stella to them. Next I stamped the pumpkin in Early Espresso ink and carefully colored it with the Light Soft Sea Foam Blends Marker. You have to color carefully when using other inks besides Tuxedo Black, because the alcohol in the marker will smear the ink. After I finished coloring it, I cut it out and added more Wink of Stella. Next I took a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and then punched it out with the Story Label Punch. I added the Soft Sea Foam leaf to the back of the label, the Pretty Peacock to the front, both with Mini Glue Dots, and then I added it all to the card front. Next I added the pumpkin to the front of the leaves with a dimensional. To finish it all off, I added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones. I love those rhinestones! They go with everything!!
For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and stamped the leaf in Soft Sea Foam ink, stamping off first. I glued the Whisper White cardstock to the Pretty Peacock layer and then added them both to the inside of the card. I love how it turned out!
