Hey everyone, how’s your week going? We’re getting ready for Club tomorrow, so it’s been busy. I wanted to share a quick layout I created using this week’s Product of the Week, the Tasteful Textures Bundle. Here are the measurements for this layout:

  • Woven Threads DSP for layout base 12″ x 12″
  • Woven Threads DSP 1″ x 12″
  • Terracotta Tile cardstock 2″ x 12″
  • Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″

I came across this 26-year old picture when cleaning out some cabinets the other day and knew I wanted to create a layout for it. This is actually from Thanksgiving of 1993 at my parents house, who are in the picture at the left next to my sister. My kids were so young!! In fact, they were all shorter then me, which didn’t last for long. Any way, I grabbed a piece of the Woven Threads DSP to use as my base. I had a the 2″ x 12″ strip of Terracotta cardstock left over from another project, so I layered that on the bottom. Knowing that I wanted to use the medallion die cut from this week’s product, I chose the medallion pattern in the pack and cut a 1″ x 12″ strip and added that right at the seam of the cardstock strip. I then added a piece of the Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon on the seam to break up the patterns. I used Crumb Cake cardstock for my photo mat and glued it to the base. Next I grabbed a scrap of Terracotta Tile and cut the medallion and layered it on a scrap of Crumb Cake. I cut both with a circle from the Layering Circles dies and glued it to one of our doilies. Next I cut a larger scalloped circle in Crumb Cake and glued it to the back of the doily. I added it to the layout with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Terracotta Tile ink and wrote the date with the Terracotta Tile Stampin’ Write Marker. I wanted some bling on the layout so I added some Wink of Stella to the medallion and some of the Rococo Rose Faceted Dots and called it done. I really like the colors myself.

Well, I’m off to finish getting ready for tomorrow. If you’d like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store.
