Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. I know we are closing in on Thanksgiving and that means we’re all going to be getting ready for the holidays. And if you are as busy as I am, then you want some fast and easy cards and tags and the Tag Buffet kit is just for you! Look at all you get in this adorable kit! I have to say that the die cuts Stampin’ Up! has been providing for us have improved over 1000%. They are adorable!! Now this kit does not come with a stamp set or ink, but it does have a coordinating stamp set, the Tag Buffet set, that we will be using, but you could basically use any stamp set. And since some of the tags aren’t a Christmas theme, you could even use these for a birthday card or present.

Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning showcasing the kit? If not, you can catch the replay on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I would love it if you liked and shared my video and if you aren’t a subscriber, you can subscribe now so you can get notified whenever I upload a video. So here is the card that I created for today’s video.

Very simple, but that is exactly what you need when you have very little time for crafting. Here are the measurements for the card:

  • Card base in Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside

That’s it, just a card base and an inside layer. Easy peasy!

When I was creating a few of the tags, I thought that this would be an easy way to create some quick and easy cards and not to mention, using those die cuts for scrapbooking! I started this card with a leftover cardbase in Shaded Spruce and another scrap of Whisper White for the inside. I created my tag according to the instructions of the tag kit and then glued it to the card front. Basically all you do for the tag is to take the two tag layers and add a piece of the gold twine in the get to create your tag. And fyi, that gold twine is the same twine in the Forever Greenery Combo Trim package. So you can add more if you run out! Then once you’ve created the tag, you add your die cut with dimensionals, stamp a sentiment on one of the labels in the kit, add it with dimensionals and you’re done. I did just that using Shaded Spruce ink for my label and used Stampin’ Seal to attache it to the card front. I did add a Mini Glue Dot to the back of the twine so that it wouldn’t fall out. I then added some of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and the front was finished.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment that is in the stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink. The leaf image at the bottom is also in Shaded Spruce, but stamped off.

I just love that sentiment and have used it on quite a few of my cards. And don’t forget your envelope! I stamped the leaf three times, but only inked it once. I was going for the look of the tag. 🙂

Isn’t that quick and easy? Just two extra pieces of cardstock and an envelope, and one ink pad. Boom! Done! I absolutely love quick and easy and this fits that bill! Now here is a look at the scrapbook layout. I didn’t create it in the video, but I wante to share it with you.

This is another quick and easy project too. I tarted with the tag and created it according to the directions. I did use Garden Green ink on the label. I used a 12 x 12 piece of Garden Green cardstock for the base. Then I grabbed a 12 x 12 piece of Whisper White and trimmed it to 10 x 10. Next I took a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Real Red cardstock and trimmed two of the corners to create the look of a tag. For the hole, I used a retired 3/8″ circle punch. (this is why I never get rid of my retired circle punches!! lol) Next trimmed it down to 9″ to fit on the Whisper White layer. I wanted it to mimick the tall present on the tag, so I grabbed a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and cut sever 1″ strips and some Gold Foil paper and trimmed several 1/2″ strips. I then glued them in the same pattern as the present, using the Liquid Tombo Glue so that I had some wiggle room when attaching the layers. I then turned it over to trim the strips to the red base. I added some of the Forever Greenery trim for the tie and glued it down to the white layer. I added the tag on the left corner leaving the upper right without adhesive so I can slip my matted picture under it. The Whisper White layer on the layout measures 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ for easy matting. It’s not adhered yet in case I have different size pictures I may use. Then I added some more of the Gold Glitter Dots and was done!

So what do you think? Don’t you need this Tag Buffet Kit??? Now you don’t have to have the coordinating stamp set, but it really is a fun set to have.
