Hey everyone! We made it to Friday! Can you believe it’s the very last day of January already?? And Sale-a-bration has been going on for a full month already! Wow!! If you’re not sure what Sale-a-bration is, it’s the best sale that Stampin’ Up! has and it lasts for 90 days! During Sale-a-bration you get to choose a free item out of the Sale-a-bration Catalog for every $50.00 in product purchases. Now that’s a good sale! Then the Starter Kit has a special too. The Starter Kit is always a great deal at your choice of $125.00 in product for only $99.00 plus tax and FREE shipping. During Sale-a-bration you get that same deal PLUS and extra stamp set of your choice, the new exclusive Mini Paper Cutter and a 6 x 6 Sampler Pack of paper of all of the new papers in the Sale-a-bration Catalog and the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog for FREE!! So you’re looking at about $200.00 in product for only $99.00 plus tax. With all that in mind, I wanted to share the card I made to send out to all my new team members.
Here are the measurements:
- Card base in Crushed Curry cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- See a Silhouette DSP cut at 3″ x 4″
I wanted something simple and different this year and I think this fits the bill. This is the first chance I have had to play with the new Witty-cisms stamp set too. Everybody loves tacos, so I had to go with that. Then I went in search through my scraps to see what would work best. The bright and bold colors from the See a Silhouette DSP was the perfect choice! I glued that to a Crushed Curry card base. Next I stamped my image in Tuxedo Black ink and colored the taco with my Stampin’ Blends. I started with the Crumb Cake combo set, but it just looked too bland. So I grabbed my Light Mango Melody and colored over it. I thought that was pretty close to the look of a corn tortilla. I added some of the Light Granny Apple Green for the lettuce and then punched it out with the 2″ circle punch and then added it to a punched starburst of Poppy Parade. I attached them both to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Welcome to the Team stamp set on a strip of Whisper White cardstock from my scrap bin, flagged the ends and added it to the card with Mini Dimensionals. To bring in some more red, I added some of the Red Rhinestones.
I hope you liked today’s card. Being a part of the Stampin’ Up! family is a choice I made 9 years ago that forever changed my life and for the better! The friendships I have made along the way are ones I know I never would have made had it not been for that decision. If this is something you’d like to do, please don’t hesitate to contact me. If you’re ready to take that step, that’s okay, I would still love to be your demonstrator and help you create some fun projects. You can go to my online store to shop 24/7. When you shop and use Host Code GKQKEDY7 and your order is $50.00 or more, not only will you qualify for a free item from the Sale-a-braion Catalog, but you’ll also get a free gift from me with your thank you card! Gotta love Sale-a-bration season!!
