Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you had a great holiday weekend and that your weekend is off to a good start. If this is your first time visiting my little blog, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you seen what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 271

I have to admit, this is not my style of card, which is not a bad thing since it forces me to step outside my comfort zone. Since we are in the middle of summer, I decided to play with the Summer Happiness Bundle.

I have never played with any of the wide washi tapes that we have had, but I have to say, I love it! I unrolled it on to a 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White and then die cut several of the images. The colors in the washi tape pair very well with the new Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP, so I trimmed a piece of it to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I chose a Pool Party card base and since the DSP washed out on the card base, I attached it to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I punched out 3 circles with the 1 7/8″ circle punch and then embossed them with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment from the Summer Happiness stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on the DSP. I attached the embossed circles with Seal and the die cut images with dimensionals. I then added some Wink of Stella to the images to give it a little more bling. I chose the Array of Dots Embellishments for more bling.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Splash & Relax stamp set, also in Pretty Peacock ink, on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and attached it to the inside of the card. I then attached one of the die cuts that perfectly matches the embossing folder. You can see more of the Wink of Stella on the flower.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope!! No naked envelopes!! I just love those sunglasses!!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample or sketch and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it your way with your style. We would love to see your creation!

And speaking of summer, if you are in the Northern California, I want to remind everyone of my up coming retreat. It’s going to be 3 days of crafty fun in a nice air conditioned space. We would love to have you join us! Just click on the photo below for all of the information.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. If you would like to add any of the product to your stash, just head over to my online store to shop. Every order will receive a pack of handmade cards as a thank you. We all can use cards ready to send out and make someone’s day. Have a great week!
