Hey everyone, hope your Monday is going well. I wanted to share a card I created this afternoon after cleaning up from Saturday’s classes. I just love the Sugarplum Dreams stamp set and wanted to create something with the ballerina. Now I haven’t been around many ballerinas in my life, never danced myself, and the closest I came with any of my daughters was drill team and cheerleading. But this one in the set is just too cute not to add to a card.
I started with a piece of Whisper White and stamped her with the Memento ink since I was planning on using the new Stampin’ Blends markers. I used the Ivory for her skin tone, the Bronze for her hair, the Dark Daffodil Delight for her crown, and the Pool Party combo for her dress. Once I was done coloring her, I ran the Whisper White through the Big Shot using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits. The card base is Thick Whisper White and I cut a piece of the Christmas Around the World DSP for the background. I stamped the sentiment with the black ink, then took the Fine Tip Glue pen and dotted it across the DSP and sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. I then took one of the Snowflake Doilies in silver and added it to the back of the oval, then adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I wanted her outfit to shine a little more so I added some Wink of Stella. Then I added a couple of the Glitter Enamel Dots and called it done. I love the look of it! Here’s a close up shot of her dress.
If you haven’t gotten your set yet, you can order here to get yours. The Hostess Code for the month of November is 4CK43AW2 and if your order is $35.00 or more, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards. I hope your week is off to a good start and I thank you for stopping by!
