Hey everyone! Happy Sunday Evening! I have been frantically trying to get caught up after my trip to Phoenix last week and getting ready for my events coming up this next weekend. Speaking of which, here is one of the cards we’ll be making on Saturday at my Count Down to Christmas Card Class. It features the new Stitched From the Heart Framelits. I love the look of faux stitching and always created the look with a pen by hand. No more crooked stitches for me! 🙂
I created the card base with an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ piece of Garden Green. I ran a 3 3/4 x 5″ piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot in the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. That folder is amazing and creates so bold texture on your projects. I layered that on a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Black. Knowing that I was using the stitched framelits, I took out the Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Stack to find the perfect compliment to the project. I took out this plaid piece and cut it at 3 x 4″ and layered on a 3 1/8 x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic Black and wrapped a piece of the 3/8″ Delightful Dijon ribbon from the Trio Pack. I then took another piece of Basic Black and used one of the scalloped squares from the Square Layering Framelits, which layer perfectly with the square stitched framelits, which I used on a piece of Whisper White. The sentiment, tree, and star stamps are from the Stitched with Cheer stamp set. I added a gold metallic star shape to the stamped star to give it some extra bling. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card. All these coordinating pieces are exactly why I love Stampin’ Up! products! Makes my creating so much easier!
